This pretty little painting for the last volume of Mercedes Lackey's Mage Storm Trilogy was done right after the birth of my son Ty, when I was extremely behind on my deadlines, and couldn't give my usual grand-opera painting. So it is a simple portrait of Karal and Florian being caught in the final deadly currents of magic from the storm and it's distorted beings.
